Where college students live in New York …?
Well, first let me start by Sayn I am a high school student, but in a year and a couple of months, is preparing for college, and to find my own place. So, I made my decision and have decided I want to move to New York. So where a university student living in New York. I really want to live in Manhattan, but I know it's expensive. But I know that it is impossible to find a little Manhattan studio, or possibly a bed. Because there are websites like http://citihabitats.com and http://craigslist.org. But where are the best areas for a college student, as in the City Square area. Also, what are good colleges for chemistry or physics major. What the University should go. Please do not recommend any hard to find in schools like NYU or Columbia. But what ever you recommend is great … Also, I have a GPA of 3.6, and High SAT and ACT scores. And I saved $ 6400.00 …. It depends on many things. Mainly in the school you end up going a. If you go to NYU or Columbia, you can live in a dorm for the first year or so, until you find out where live. I did it. I went to University of New York, and moved from sleeping in my first year. I'm not sure what you think is a reasonable rent for a studio "small or a room, but if you only have $ 6,000 or so saved, that will not even cover tuition, not to mention rent! I think it will better think about getting a roommate, and living outside of Manhattan, if you really want to live off campus. Also, do not know what you mean town square because there is no such place in New York. Maybe it means "Times Square"? If so, that's just a resort, not a place to New Yorkers live. New Yorkers live in residential areas of the city. Thus, in Manhattan, if you really have the money (and it sounds as if there) could mean Upper West Side or the Upper East Side, Clinton, Chelsea, Grammarcy Park, Turtle Bay, Murry Hill, The Village, The East Village, Soho, Lower East Side or Battary City Park. I guess also there are better parts of Harlem or Washington Heights, Inwood, or even if you want to go that far. But if it goes all the way to Washington Heights or Inwood, you are so far from a true New York scene that you might as well go to the parties closer to Brooklyn or Queens, where you'd actually be closer to middle or lower parts of Manhattan (somewhere near Queens are closer to Midtown and parts of Brooklyn, near closest to Lower Manhattan.) And in Brooklyn and Queens you'd find a lively place to live and better living conditions. But the truth, you think the money we have is a lot. But that is true unless income half a year here. In any neighborhood. So I think we need to rethink this a bit.
