Wood experts: What is the best wood / particle board for a platform bed?
There are many different types do not know what type to get. The council will be established in the wooden slats through a bed to a mattress. I was thinking of adding a 1 / 2 inch piece of plywood for more support. Your help is appreciated.
As will be wearing ribbons of support and assuming that we're not talking marriage or a bed King size (which would require additional support in the center), you can use 1 / 2 "MDF, 7 / 16" OSB or 1 / 2 "B / C plywood. MoF and OSB will cost less than plywood and will be heavier. The yard of the wood should be able to cut the sheet of 4'x8 'with the size you need (the most often make a cut without cost). Personally, I used 1 / 2 "B / C grade plywood both have built for children, but did not use wooden slats and the beds are double size. I have also used 1 / 2 "MDF for a futon bed which supported the cross so the MDF will not break in an area not compatible.
